 This is the fourth(4th) time I am publishing an article about MTN Ghana. Friends and relatives ask me why I like publishing articles about MTN Ghana instead of the other mobile networks available in Ghana.
Hmm! This calls for the reason that, I am a proud mobile network subscriber of MTN Ghana and have been using it for long for the sake of its products in the market and also I know some tips and tricks about its product, helpful guides involving the use of MTN sim card. 

Getting MTN Ghana new sim card does not guarantee you as a proud subscriber because people only get the sim card(MTN Ghana Sim) just to enjoy new promotions and services about the network and later on drop the sim card for the other mobile network's sim card.
But for me, no matter what it takes I have been using my MTN number for long time and it is known by friends and relatives.
Now let's get back to business on how to register for MTN Mobile Money In Ghana.

MTN Ghana Mobile Money is like an online banking system which gives you the access to save money, send and receive money on your mobile phone, pay utilities bill through the help of mobile network. With MTN Mobile Money, it enables you to register and enjoy a whole lot of benefits and serves as a secure way of keeping money on oneself.

According to MTN Ghana, you can own MTN Mobile Money on your phone by taking the necessary steps to enjoy the benefits of it.

Requirements to Register MTN Mobile Money In Ghana:

  1. Go to MTN Authorised agent/Merchant 
  2. Provide the agent a valid name and date of birth as seen on your I.D Card 
  3. Provide a valid I.D Card(Voter's I.D, NHIS, Passport, Driver License) to the agent. 
  4. Now, your personal details are recorded by the agent 
  5. Ensure that your Sim supports MTN Mobile Money. This is because some Sim cards doesn't support it and so you are allowed to replace new Sim with the same number. 
  6. Insert the Sim in your Mobile Phone
  7. After inserting your Sim card in the phone, you will receive a message requesting you to register for MTN mobile money  Goto MTN service on your phone and select Mobile Money 
  8. Select register and enter your I.D card type and I.D number(eg. Voter's I.D No. XXXXXXXXXX) 
  9. Selct pin, type and repeat a 4 digits as your Mobile Money pin code.
After, an SMS will be sent to you.

Note: The pin is your signature to your mobile money account so keep it confidential and secrete.
You are now done with the necessary requirements for MTN Mobile Money. 

These are the basic requirements I known to be requested for MTN Mobile Money.
