Must Know: How to setup a manual or automatic internet setting for MTN Ghana.


In this tutorial section, I will be sharing with you on how to setup manual and automatic configuration for MTN Ghana network.

MTN, is a mobile communication network/service provider that has many branches across Africa and this network company started with just small start up but for now, it is known as one of the popularly network which provides sponsorship to group of people, businesses, individual,schools etc.
To me as a tech blogger, my understanding of the keyword MTN, simply means Mobile Telecommunication Network be it right or not.

MTN Ghana is known as one of the mobile network that provides internet/data service for its customers for their satisfaction when browsing because it was on a 3.5 G network but now planning to upgrade to 3.7G network. In terms of browsing on a desktop computer, or a mobile phone that preferred network I used is MTN Ghana and enjoy the data bundles it has which allows you to choose the data package that suits you as a customer.
I am about to reveal to you with the internet settings below on how to setup internet for your mtn network on a mobile phone.

Internet Settings For MTN Ghana.
Just before I publish to you on the settings, I will like to divide this into 2 format which is the manual and automatic settings. The automatic settings is the code you will text for MTN network to send you configuration setting. I shall first of all begin with the;

  • MTN Ghana Automatic Configuration

For you to enjoy the automatic configuration, it is not any hardly task at all because you will have to just dial a code on your mobile phone to get access.
Just dial *686#, then press O.K/Send.
After send this code, wait for about 10-15 minutes, and a message from MTN Ghana will pop-up on the screen of your phone. Here is an overview of the message
"Automatic data configuration SMS for WAP, Internet and MMS Service will be sent to you shortly.
Kindly Install and restart your handset/phone"
With PIN CODE:1234
You are done for the automatic internet settings/configurations.

  • MTN Ghana Manual Configuration/Settings

Here also is the manual configuration for MTN Ghana internet settings. Readers are to now that the automatic internet settings is not available on some mobile phones especially those called Chinese phones.
So I shall provide you with the tutorials on how to setup MTN Ghana internet settings for other phones that doesn't support the SMS code above.
For this tutorial, I shall make it in steps for you to understand and check out the steps below
STEPS:

  1. Go to phone Menu
  2. Select settings
  3. Go to connectivity/Configuration/Internet Settings
  4. Now select/put the below

  • name: mtn ghana
  • apn: internet
  • homepage: mtnloaded.com.gh
  • ip address: 127.017.003.005
  • port 8080

  • Now save your settings and restart your phone then connect and enjoy on the gooo!!
